The Irish Boat Builders Chair, based on an 1830’s design, is hand-made using traditional time-honoured techniques by Irish furniture maker Brendan Lawless.
Each chair is made by hand in Brendan’s workshop in his native County Wicklow, Ireland. The ribs are steam-bent, a technique still used by boat-builders today to add strength to wood. Each chair is made to order and available for you to choose from a selection of woods – walnut, oak or ash. They can be hand finished in any colour or with a distressed finish, as you desire.
